When Pilate had heard the accusations, he said to the chief priests and the people, "I find no fault in this man." But they insisted, saying that he was stirring up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, from Galilee to this place (Luke 23:4-5). The Roman governor offered the Jews to release Jesus, but they continued with a great cry demanding that He be crucified; and he prevailed over their cry and the chief priests. And Pilate decided to be at their request (Luke 23:23-24) and Jesus was beaten (i.e. scourged) and delivered up to be crucified (Matthew 27:26).

It was the third hour, and they crucified him (Mark 15:25), and put an inscription over his head, signifying his guilt: "This is Jesus, the King of the Jews." Then two thieves were crucified with Him, one on the right hand and the other on the left. And those who passed by cursed Him, shaking their heads and saying: ... save thyself; if you are the Son of God, come down from the cross. Likewise, the chief priests, with the scribes, and the elders, and the Pharisees, mocking, said, "He saved others, but he cannot save himself; if He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and let us believe in Him; he trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he is pleasing to him. For He said, "I am the Son of God" (Matthew 27:37-43).

And the soldiers who crucified Him divided His garments, casting lots (Matthew 27:35). And the people stood and looked (Luke 23:35). And also at the cross of Jesus stood His Mother and His Mother's sister, Mary of Cleopas, and Mary Magdalene (John 19:25). The women wept and wept for Him (Luke 23:27).

At the sixth hour, darkness fell over all the earth, and lasted until the ninth hour (Mark 15:33). And the earth shook (Matthew 27:51). At the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, "Eloi! Eloi! Lamma Savakhfani? — which means: My God! My god! why hast thou forsaken me? Some of those who stood there heard and said, "Behold, he is calling Elijah." And one of them ran, filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave Him a drink, saying, "Wait, let's see if Elijah comes to take him down" (Mark 15:34-36).

And when Jesus had tasted the vinegar, he said, It is finished! And bowing his head, he gave up his spirit (John 19:30). Then one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water flowed out (John 19:34).

After this came Joseph of Arimathea, a famous member of the council, who himself awaited the Kingdom of God, dared to come to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus... He bought the shroud, and took it off, and wrapped it in the shroud, and laid it in the sepulchre, which was hewn out of the rock, and rolled the stone against the door of the sepulchre, Mark 15:43,46.

It was on Friday, the feast of the Jewish Passover, when the Jews remembered how, during the punishment of the Egyptians, God commanded lambs to be sacrificed, and those who anointed the doors of their houses with the blood of the sacrificial lamb were not affected, and in the rest of the houses all the firstborn died (Exodus 12:3-14).

And on Sunday morning, the disciples, having come to the tomb, found it empty. On the same day... And it came to pass, when the doors of the house where his disciples were assembled, were shut, for fear of the Jews, that Jesus came, and stood in the midst, and said unto them, Peace be unto you. Having said this, He showed them His hands and feet and His side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. And Jesus said to them a second time, Peace be unto you. as the Father has sent me, so do I send you. And when he had said this, he blew, and said unto them, Receive ye the Holy Spirit. To whom you forgive sins, they will be forgiven; on whom you leave, they will remain. But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Twin, was not there with them when Jesus came. The other disciples said to him, "We have seen the Lord." But he said unto them, Unless I see the wounds of the nails in his hands, and put my finger into the wounds of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe. After eight days his disciples were again in the house, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, when the doors were shut, stood in the midst of them, and said, Peace be unto you! Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger hither, and see my hands; Give thy hand and put it into my side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing. Thomas answered and said to him, "My Lord and my God! Jesus said to him, "You have believed because you have seen Me; blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed" (John 20:19-29).

Then, appearing on the mountain to His five hundred disciples (1 Corinthians 15:3-9), He commanded: "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:19-20), go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; but whoever does not believe will be condemned (Mark 16:15-16).

And so the Lord, after conversing with them, ascended into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God (Mark 16:19). And when he had said this, he was lifted up in their eyes, and a cloud took him out of their sight. And as they looked up into heaven, while he was ascending, suddenly two men in white robes stood before them, and said, Men of Galilee! Why do you stand and look up to heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw Him go into heaven (Acts 1:9-11).

Behold, he cometh with the clouds, and every eye shall see him, even those who pierced him; and all the families of the earth mourn before Him (Rev. 1:7), for we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive according to what he did while living in the body, good or bad, 2 Corinthians 5:10.

How do Muslims teach about Jesus Christ?

In Arabic transcription, the name of Jesus Christ sounds like Isa al-Masih (this is a direct translation of the Hebrew "Yeshua Mashiach"). Muslims admit that Christ was miraculously born of the Virgin Mary: "Behold, the angels said, 'O Mary! Behold, Allah gladdens you with the tidings of a word from Him, whose name is the Messiah Jesus, the son of Mary, glorious in the world to come and to the Hereafter... She said: "Lord! Where will I have a child from, when no man has touched me?" He said, "Yes! Allah does what He wills. When He has decided a matter, He will only say to it, 'Be!' and it happens" (Qur'an 3:45,47).
