He tilted the heavens and came down; and darkness under his feet;

And he sat on the cherubim, and flew, and was carried on the wings of the wind;

And He covered Himself with darkness like a canine, gathering together the waters of the clouds of heaven.

From the brightness before Him coals of fire were kindled.

The LORD roared from heaven, and the Most High gave his voice.

He shot arrows and scattered them; [flashed] lightning and destroyed them.

And the springs of the sea were opened, and the foundations of the world were laid bare by the terrible voice of the Lord, by the breath of the spirit of his wrath.

He stretched out his hand from on high, and took me, and brought me out of many waters.

He delivered me from my mighty enemy, from those who hated me, who were stronger than I.

They rose up against me in the day of my affliction; but the Lord was my support

And he brought me out into a wide place, and delivered me, for he is well pleased with me.

The LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness, and according to the cleanliness of my hands he has rewarded me.

For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not been wicked before my God,

For all his commandments are before me, and I have not departed from his statutes.

And I was blameless before him, and I was careful not to sin against me.

And the Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to my purity in his sight.

Thou dost be merciful to the merciful, and sincerely to a sincere man,

With the pure is pure, but with the wicked according to his wickedness.

Thou hast saved the oppressed, and with Thy gaze thou hast humbled the haughty.

You, O Lord, are my lamp; The Lord enlightens my darkness.

With Thee I slay the army; with my God I ascend the wall.
