«...Иисус Наставник, помилуй нас!»

(Col. 2:11-12): "In Him also you were circumcised by circumcision not made with hands, by putting off the sinful body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ; having been buried with Him in baptism, in Him you have also been resurrected by faith in the power of God, Who raised Him from the dead."

(Galatians 3:27-28): "All of you who were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is no longer Jew or Gentile; there is neither slave nor free; there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

(Col. 3:9-11): "... having put off the old man with his works and having put on the new, who is renewed in knowledge in the image of Him who created him, where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision or uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free, but Christ is all and in all."

Rule 21.

On the communion of the Body and Blood of Christ, and what is its intention

Chapter 1. And for eternal life itself, communion of the Body and Blood of Christ is necessary.

(John 6:53-54): "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. He who eats My Flesh and drinks My Blood has eternal life," and so on.

Chapter 2. He who approaches Communion without understanding the intention, for whom communion of the Body and Blood of Christ is given, does not receive any benefit from it, and he who partakes of Communion unworthily is condemned.

(John 6:53): "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in yourselves. He who eats My Flesh and drinks My Blood has eternal life." And a little later (John 6:61-63): "But Jesus, knowing in Himself that His disciples were murmuring about this, said to them, 'Does this offend you? What if you see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? The spirit gives life, the flesh does not benefit in the least. The words that I speak to you are spirit and life."

(1 Corinthians 11:27-29): "Therefore, whoever eats this bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will be guilty against the Body and Blood of the Lord. Let a man examine himself, and thus let him eat of this bread and drink of this cup. For whoever eats and drinks unworthily eats and drinks condemnation to himself, not considering the Body of the Lord."

Chapter 3. With what intention should one eat the Body and drink the Blood of the Lord? In remembrance of the Lord's obedience, even unto death, so that the living may no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
