The Gospel of John

20. And when Peter turned, he saw the disciple whom Jesus loved coming after him, and who at supper, kneeling down to his breast, said, "Lord! who will betray you?

21. When Peter sees him, he says to Jesus, "Lord! And what about him?

22. Jesus said to him, "If I want him to remain until I come, what does it matter to you? thou shalt follow me.

23. And this word spread among the brethren that the disciple would not die. But Jesus did not tell him that he would not die, but, "If I want him to remain until I come, what does it matter to you?"

24. This disciple both testifies to these things and wrote them; and we know that his testimony is true.

25. Jesus did many other things; but, if I were to write about this in detail, then, I think, the world itself would not be able to contain the books written. Amen.
