The Gospel of John

11. Verily, verily, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness of what we have seen, but you do not accept our testimony.

12. If I have told you about earthly things, and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things?

13. No one has ascended into heaven except the Son of Man who came down from heaven and is in heaven.

14. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

15. that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

16. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

17. For God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through him.

18. He who believes in Him is not judged, but he who does not believe is already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the Only-begotten Son of God.

19. But judgment consists in the fact that light has come into the world; but men loved darkness more than light, because their deeds were evil;

20. For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds be exposed, because they are evil,

21. but he who does righteousness goes to the light, so that his works may be made manifest, because they are done in God.

22. After this, Jesus came with his disciples to the land of Judea, and there he lived with them and baptized.

23. And John also baptized in Anon, near Salem, because there was plenty of water there; And they came there and were baptized;

24. for John had not yet been imprisoned.
