19 And Rachel died, and was buried on the road to Ephrathah, that is, Bethlehem.

21 And Israel departed, and pitched his tent behind the tower of Gader.

22 And while Israel was in that country, Reuben went and slept with Bilhah, the concubine of his father [Jacob]. And Israel heard [and received it with grief]. And Jacob had twelve sons.

23 And the sons of Leah: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn, Simeon, Levi, Judah, and Issachar, and Zebulun.

24 The sons of Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin.

25 The sons of Bilhah, Rachel's maidservant, were Dan and Naphtali.

26 And the sons of Zilpah, Leah's maidservant, were Gad and Asher. These are the sons of Jacob, born to him in Mesopotamia.

27 And Jacob came to Isaac his father, in Mamre, in Kiriath-arba, that is, Hebron, where Abraham and Isaac were wandering.

28 And the days of Isaac were a hundred and eighty years.

29 And Isaac gave up his spirit, and died, and was gathered to his people, being old and full of life; and Esau and Jacob his sons buried him.

Chapter 36

1 This is the genealogy of Esau, who is also Edom.

2 Esau took wives from the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Olivemah the daughter of Ana the son of Zibeon the Hivite,

3 And Bashematha the daughter of Ishmael, the sister of Nebaioth.

4 And Adah begat Esau Eliphaz, and Bashemath begat Raguel,

5 Olivemah begat Jehus, Jeglom, and Korah. These are the sons of Esau, who were born to him in the land of Canaan.

6 And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the people of his house, and all his flocks, and all his cattle, and all his possessions which he had acquired in the land of Canaan, and went to another land from the presence of Jacob his brother,

7 For their possessions were so great that they could not dwell together, and the land of their pilgrimage could not contain them, because of the multitude of their flocks.

8 And Esau dwelt on Mount Seir, Esau, who is also Edom.

9 And this is the genealogy of Esau, the father of the Edomites, on Mount Seir.
