14 Remember me, then, when it is well with you, and do me good, and mention me to Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house,

15 for I am stolen from the land of the Jews; and here also he did nothing to throw me into prison.

16 And the chief baker saw that he had interpreted well, and said to Joseph, "I also dreamed, Behold, on my head there were three baskets of lattices;

17 In the upper basket are all the food of Pharaoh, the goods of the baker, and the birds [of the air] pecked them out of the basket on my head.

18 And Joseph answered, and said to him, 'This is his interpretation: the three baskets are three days;

19 In three days Pharaoh will take off your head and hang you on a tree, and the birds will peck at your flesh.

20 And on the third day, Pharaoh's birthday, he made a feast for all his servants, and remembered the chief cupbearer and the chief baker among his servants;

21 And he restored the chief cupbearer to his former place, and he gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand,

22 And he hanged the chief baker [on a tree], as Joseph had explained to them.

23 And the chief cupbearer did not remember Joseph, but forgot him.

Chapter 41

1 And it came to pass, after two years, that Pharaoh dreamed, Behold, he was standing by the river;

2 And behold, seven cows came out of the river, good in appearance, and fat in flesh, and were grazing in the reeds;

3 but behold, after them, seven other cows came out of the river, thin in appearance and lean in flesh, and stood beside those cows on the bank of the river;
