3 O Lord my God! I have cried unto Thee, and Thou hast healed me.

4 Lord! Thou hast brought my soul out of hell, and hast quickened me, that I may not go down to the grave.

5 Sing to the Lord, O His saints, glorify the memory of His holiness,

6 For for a moment is his wrath, his good pleasure for all his life: in the evening there is mourning, and in the morning joy.

7 And I said in my prosperity, I will never be moved.

8 According to thy good pleasure, O Lord, thou hast strengthened my mountain; but thou hast hid thy face, and I am troubled.

9 Then I cried unto thee, O Lord, and besought [my] Lord:

10 "What profit is my blood when I go down to the grave? Shall the dust praise Thee? shall he declare thy truth?

11 Hear, O Lord, and have mercy on me; God! be my helper."

12 And thou hast turned my lamentation into gladness, and hast taken off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness,

13 let my soul praise thee, and let it not be silent. O Lord my God! I will praise Thee forever.

Psalm 30

1 To the head of the choir. Psalm of David. [In a time of confusion].

2 In thee, O Lord, I trust, that I may never be ashamed; deliver me in Thy righteousness;

3 incline thy ear unto me, hasten to deliver me. Be thou my stronghold of stone, a house of refuge, to save me;

4 For thou art my mountain of stone, and my hedge; For Thy name's sake, lead me and govern me.

5 Bring me out of the snare which they have secretly set for me, for you are my strength.

6 Into thy hand I commend my spirit; Thou hast delivered me, O Lord, God of truth.

7 I hate those who worship vain idols, but in the Lord I trust.

8 I will rejoice and be glad in thy mercy, because thou hast looked upon my affliction, and hast known the sorrow of my soul

9 and delivered me not into the hands of the enemy; He set my feet in a wide place.
