Psalm 32

[Psalm of David.]

Rejoice, ye righteous, in the Lord: it is fitting to praise the righteous.

Praise the Lord with the harp, sing to him with a ten-stringed psalter;

sing him a new song; sing to Him harmoniously, with an exclamation,

For the word of the Lord is right, and all his works are faithful.

He loves righteousness and judgment; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the spirit of his mouth all their host;

And he hath gathered together as heaps the waters of the sea, and hath laid the depths in the storehouses.

Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all that dwell in the world tremble before him;

for he spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it appeared.

The Lord destroys the counsels of the Gentiles, destroys the designs of the nations, [destroys the councils of princes].

But the counsel of the Lord endureth for ever; the thoughts of His heart are for generations and generations.

Blessed is the people whose God is the Lord, the tribe which he has chosen for his inheritance.

The Lord looks down from heaven, sees all the sons of men;

From the throne on which he sits, he looks upon all who dwell on the earth:

He has made the hearts of all of them, and is considering all their works.

A king shall not be saved by a multitude of armies; A giant will not be protected by a great power.

A horse is unreliable for salvation, it will not deliver with its great strength.

Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, and trust in his mercy,

that he shall save their souls from death, and in the time of famine he shall nourish them.
