4 But the Lord is righteous: he has broken the bands of the wicked.
5 Let all those who hate Zion be ashamed, and turn back!
6 Let them be like the grass on the housetops, which before it is uprooted it withers,
7 With which the reaper shall not fill his hand, nor the binder of sheaves his handfuls;
8 And those who pass by will not say, "The blessing of the Lord is upon you; we bless you in the name of the Lord!"
Psalm 129
Song of ascent.
1 Out of the depths I cry unto thee, O Lord.
2 Lord! Hear my voice. Let Thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3 If you, O Lord, take notice of iniquity, Lord! Who will stand?
4 But with Thee is forgiveness, that they may reverence Thee.
5 I trust in the Lord, my soul hopes; I trust in His word.
6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than the watchmen wait for the morning, more than the watchmen for the morning.
7 Let Israel trust in the Lord, for with the Lord is mercy, and with him is much redemption,
8 And he will deliver Israel from all their iniquities.
Psalm 130
Song of ascent. David.
1 Lord! my heart was not haughty, nor were my eyes lifted up, and I did not enter into the great things that were beyond my reach.
2 Have I not humbled and comforted my soul, as a child weaned from its mother's breast? my soul was in me like a child weaned from the breast.
3 Let Israel trust in the Lord from now on and forever.
Psalm 131
Song of ascent.
1 Remember, O Lord, David, and all his brokenness;
2 As he swore to the Lord, He made a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob, saying,
3 "I will not enter into the tent of my house, nor will I ascend my bed;
4 I will not give sleep to my eyes, nor slumber to my eyelids,
5 until I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob."
6 Behold, we heard of him in Ephrathah, and found him in the fields of Jarim.
