11 Shall I say, "Perhaps darkness shall hide me, and light shall be made round about me by night";

12 but neither shall darkness obscure from thee, nor shall the night be as bright as the day, as darkness and light.

13 For thou hast made my inward parts, and hast knitted me in my mother's womb.

14 I praise thee, because I am wonderfully made. Wondrous are Thy works, and my soul is fully aware of it.

15 My bones were not hidden from thee, when I was built in secret, I was formed in the depths of the womb.

16 Thy eyes have seen my embryo; in Thy book are written all the days appointed for me, when none of them had yet been.

17 How exalted are thy thoughts unto me, O God, and how great is their number!

18 If I begin to number them, they are more numerous than sand; when I wake up, I'm still with You.

19 Oh, that thou, O God, smote the wicked! Get away from me, you bloodthirsty ones!

20 They speak wickedly against thee; Thy enemies devise vain things.

21 Shall I not hate them that hate thee, O Lord, and abhor them that rise up against thee?

22 With utter hatred I hate them: they are my enemies.

23 Try me, O God, and know my heart; test me, and know my thoughts;

24 And see if I am not in a dangerous way, and direct me to the everlasting way.

Psalm 139

Psalm.

1 To the head of the choir. Psalm of David.

2 Deliver me, O Lord, from the wicked man; keep me from the oppressor;

3 And they think evil things in their hearts, and every day they take up arms against war;

4 They sharpen their tongue like a serpent; the poison of the adder is under their mouths.

5 Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked, keep me from oppressors, who plot to shake my feet.
