15 Leave it, do not walk on it, turn away from it, and pass by.

16 for they shall not sleep, except they do evil; they lose sleep if they do not bring someone to fall;

17 For they eat the bread of iniquity, and drink the wine of theft.

18 The path of the righteous is like a radiant light, which brightens more and more until the full day.

19 But the way of the wicked is like darkness; they don't know what they're going to stumble over.

20 My son! Give heed to my words, and incline thy ear unto my words;

21 Let them not depart from thy eyes; keep them within your heart;

22 for they are life to him who found them, and health to all his body.

23 Guard your heart more than all that you keep, for out of it are the fountains of life.

24 Put away from you the deceit of your mouth, and remove the deceit of your tongue from you.

25 Let your eyes look straight ahead, and let your eyelashes be directed straight before you.

26 Consider the path of thy foot, and let all thy ways be firm.

27 Turn not to the right hand or to the left; Remove thy foot from evil;

28 For the Lord watches over the right ways, but the left ones are corrupt.

29 And he shall make thy ways straight, and shall make thy marches in peace.]

Chapter 5

1 My son! Give heed to my wisdom, and incline thy ear to my understanding;

2 To keep prudence, and that thy mouth may keep knowledge. [Do not heed a flattering woman;]

3 For the mouth of a strange woman pours out honey, and her speech is softer than oil;

4 But the consequences of it are bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword;

5 Her feet descend to death, her feet reach to hell.
