For he is the one of whom the prophet Isaiah said, "The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight."

And John himself had a garment of camel's hair, and a girdle of leather about his loins, and his food was locusts and wild honey.

Then Jerusalem, and all Judah, and all the country round about the Jordan, went out to him

And John restrained him, and said, 'I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?'

But Jesus answered and said to him, 'Leave it now, for thus it behooves us to fulfill all righteousness.' Then John admits Him.

And having been baptized, Jesus immediately came up out of the water, and behold, the heavens were opened unto him, and John saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and descending upon him.
