And when they have lighted a candle, they do not put it under the vessel, but on the candlestick, and it gives light to all in the house.

So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Do not think that I have come to break the law or the prophets: I have not come to destroy, but to fulfill.

For verily I say unto you, Until heaven and earth pass away, not one jot or tittle shall pass away from the law, until all things are fulfilled.

Whosoever therefore breaketh one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men thus, shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

For I say to you, unless your righteousness surpasses the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

You have heard that it was said to the ancients, 'Thou shalt not kill, but whoever kills shall be judged.'

But I say unto you, Whosoever is angry with his brother without cause shall be subject to judgment; And whosoever shall say unto his brother, Raka, shall be subject to the Sanhedrin; And whosoever shall say, Foolish, shall be subject to hell fire.

If, therefore, thou bringest thy gift unto the altar, and there thou rememberest that thy brother hath something against thee,

Leave thy gift there before the altar, and go first to be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

Make peace with your adversary quickly, while you are still on the way with him, lest the adversary deliver you up to the judge, and the judge deliver you up to the servant, and cast you into prison.

Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt not come out of thence until thou hast given up to the last codrant.

You have heard that it was said to the ancients, 'Thou shalt not commit adultery.'

But I say unto you, Whosoever looketh upon a woman to lust after her hath already committed adultery with her in his heart.
