22 Jesus answered and said, "You do not know what you are asking." Can you drink the cup that I will drink, or be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized? They say to Him, "We can."

23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink my cup, and with the baptism with which I am baptized, ye shall be baptized: but it does not depend on me to let them sit on my right hand and on my left, but to whom my Father has prepared.

24 And when the other ten disciples heard this, they were indignant with the two brothers.

25 And Jesus called them, and said, 'You know that the princes of the nations rule over them, and the nobles rule over them;

26 But let it not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your servant.

27 And whosoever will be first among you, let him be your servant;

28 for the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.

29 And as they went out of Jericho, a great multitude followed him.

30 And behold, two blind men sitting by the wayside, hearing that Jesus was passing by, began to cry out, 'Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!'

31 And the people kept them silent; but they began to cry out even louder: "Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!"

32 And Jesus stopped, and called them to them, and said, 'What do you want of me?'

33 They said to him, 'Lord! that our eyes may be opened.

34 And Jesus, being moved with compassion, touched their eyes; and immediately their eyes saw and they followed him.
