47 And if thy eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than with two eyes to be cast into hell fire,
48 where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.
50 Salt is a good thing; but if the salt is not salty, how will you correct it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace among yourselves.
Chapter 10
1 And when he departed from thence, he came to the borders of Judah, beyond the side of the Jordan. Again the people gathered to Him, and, according to His custom, He again taught them.
2 And the Pharisees came near, and asked, tempting him, Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?
3 And he answered and said unto them, 'What hath Moses commanded you?'
4 They said, "Moses allowed the bill of divorce to be written and to be divorced."
5 Jesus answered and said to them, 'Because of your hardness of heart he has written this commandment to you.'
6 And in the beginning of creation, God created them male and female.
7 Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother
8 and he shall cleave to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh; so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.
9 Therefore what God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
10 In the house his disciples again asked him the same thing.
11 And he said unto them, Whosoever shall divorce his wife, and marry another, shall commit adultery with her;
12 And if a woman divorces her husband, and marries another, she commits adultery.
13 And they brought children unto him, that he might touch them; but the disciples did not admit those who brought them.
14 And when Jesus saw this, he was indignant, and said to them, "Suffer the little children to come to me, and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of God."
15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever receiveth not the kingdom of God as a little child shall not enter into it.
16 And having embraced them, he laid his hands on them and blessed them.
