15 As the Lord commanded Moses his servant, so Moses commanded Jesus, and Jesus did so: He did not depart from a single word in all that the Lord commanded Moses.

16 Thus Joshua took all this land on the hills, all the land of the noonday, all the land of Goshen, and the lowlands, and the plain, and the mountain of Israel, and the lowlands,

17 From Mount Halak, which stretches out to Seir, to Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon, near Mount Hermon, and he took all their kings, and smote them, and slew them.

18 For a long time Jesus waged war against all these kings.

19 And there was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, save the Hivites who were inhabitants of Gibeon: they took all by war.

20 For it came to pass from the Lord, that they hardened their hearts, and met Israel with war, that they might be given up to a curse, and that there might be no mercy for them, but that they might be cut off as the Lord had commanded Moses.

21 At the same time Jesus came and smote [all] the Anakimites on the mountain, in Hebron, in Debir, in Anabah, in all the mountain of Judah, and in all the mountain of Israel; Jesus cursed them with their cities;

22 There was not one of the Anakim left in the land of the children of Israel, but only in Gaza, and in Gath, and in Ashdod.

23 Thus Jesus took all the earth, as the Lord had spoken to Moses, and gave it to Joshua for the inheritance of the Israelites, according to the division among their tribes. And the land calmed down from the war.

3 And the plain as far as the sea of Hinnereth to the east, and to the sea of the plain, the sea of salt, to the east by the road to Beth-Jeshimoth, and to the south by the places that lie at the foot of Pisgah.

4 Og king of Bashan, the last of the Rephaim, who dwelt in Astaroth and in Edrei,
