Ireon, Migdal-el, Horem, Beth-anath, and Beth-shemish: nineteen cities with their villages.

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families; these are their cities and villages.

To the tribe of the children of Dan, according to their families, the seventh lot went out;

The borders of their inheritance were: Zorah, Eshtaol, and Ir-Shemesh;

Shaalavwin, Aialon and Ifla,

Elon, Timnatha, and Ekron,

Eltekah, Givbethon, and Baalath,

Hihud, Bene-werak, and Gath-rimmon,

Me-Jarkon and Rakon with the border near Joppa. And the boundary of the sons of Dan was small for them.

And the children of Dan went to war against Lasem, and took it, and smote it with the sword, and received it for an inheritance, and dwelt in it, and called it Lasem Dan, after the name of Dan their father. [The Amorites remained in Elom and Salamis, but the hand of Ephraim prevailed against them, and they became tributaries to him.]

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan, according to their families; these are their cities and villages. [The sons of Dan did not destroy the Amorites, who had pressed them on the mountain, nor did the Amorites allow them to go out into the valley, and took away from them the limit of their territory.]

And when they had finished dividing the land according to the borders thereof, then the children of Israel gave an inheritance among themselves to Joshua the son of Nun, saying,

At the command of the LORD they gave him the city of Timnath-serai, which he had asked for, on the mountain of Ephraim; And he built a city, and dwelt therein.

These are the inheritances which Eleazar the priest, Joshua the son of Nun, and the rulers of the generations, divided among the tribes of the children of Israel, by lot, in Shiloh, before the Lord, at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting. And they finished dividing the land.
