Братия, Христос для того и умер, и воскрес, и ожил, чтобы владычествовать и над мертвыми и над живыми. А ты что осуждаешь брата твоего? Или и ты, что унижаешь брата твоего? Все мы предстанем на суд Христов. Ибо написано: живу Я, говорит Господь, предо Мною преклонится всякое колено, и всякий язык будет исповедовать Бога. Итак каждый из нас за себя даст отчет Богу. Не станем же более судить друг друга, а лучше судите о том, как бы не подавать брату случая к преткновению или соблазну. Я знаю и уверен в Господе Иисусе, что нет ничего в себе самом нечистого; только почитающему что–либо нечистым, тому нечисто. Если же за пищу огорчается брат твой, то ты уже не по любви поступаешь. Не губи твоею пищею того, за кого Христос умер. Да не хулится ваше доброе. Ибо Царствие Божие не пища и питие, но праведность и мир и радость во Святом Духе. Кто сим служит Христу, тот угоден Богу и достоин одобрения от людей.

Brethren, let us seek that which serves for peace and for mutual edification. For the sake of food, do not destroy the works of God. Everything is pure, but it is bad for a person who eats to be tempted. It is better not to eat meat, not to drink wine, and not to do anything that causes your brother to stumble, or be offended, or faint. Do you have faith? Have it in yourself, before God. Blessed is he who does not condemn himself in what he chooses. But he who doubts, if he eats, is condemned, because it is not according to faith; and everything that is not according to faith is sin. And to him who is able to establish you, according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which from all eternity has been kept silent, but which is now revealed, and through the prophetic writings, by the command of the eternal God, proclaimed to all nations for the submission of their faith, to the One All-Wise God, through Jesus Christ, glory for ever. Brethren, we, the strong, must endure the infirmities of the powerless and not please ourselves. Each of us must please our neighbor, for good, for edification. For even Christ did not please Himself, but, as it is written, The reproach of those who curse Thee fell upon Me. And all that was written before was written for our instruction, so that we may keep hope by patience and consolation from the Scriptures. May the God of patience and consolation grant you to be of one mind with one another, according to the teaching of Christ Jesus, that you may glorify God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ with one accord and with one mouth. Therefore, receive one another, just as Christ also received you to the glory of God.
