Protecting us from wrong deeds,

You open our eyelids to us, the blind.

And you instruct on the tops of some,

Where is our place, but also our limit.

Thou givest with Thy all-powerful hand

My legs are like a deer and become

And you teach your hand the work of warfare

And strain the muscle of a heavy onion.

You are my shield, my salvation, and in the time of battle

I may be stronger than all people,

Sustained by the right hand of good

And exalted by Thy mercy.

O Lord, my step is by Your will
