How to Read the Bible

As a shepherd trusts his flock in the day that he is in the midst of his scattered flock, so will I examine my sheep, and release them from all the places to which they were scattered in a cloudy and gloomy day.

And I will bring them out of the nations, and I will gather them out of the countries, and I will bring them into their land, and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, and on the streams, and in all the inhabited places of the earth.

I will feed them in a good pasture, and their corral will be on the high mountains of Israel; there they will rest in a good paddock and graze in the rich pasture, on the mountains of Israel.

I will feed my sheep, and I will give them rest, saith the Lord God.

That which is lost I will find, and that which was driven away, and that which is wounded, I will bind up, and I will strengthen that which is sick, and that which is fat and violent, I will destroy it. I will shepherd them in righteousness.

But you, my sheep, thus saith the Lord God, behold, I will judge between sheep and sheep, between ram and goat.

Is it not enough for you that you feed in a good pasture, and yet you trample the rest of your pasture with your feet, and drink pure water, and muddy the rest with your feet?

So that my sheep shall eat that which is trampled under your feet, and drink that which is disturbed by your feet?

Therefore thus saith the Lord God unto them, Behold, I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.

For you push with your side and shoulder, and with your horns you butt all the weak, until you push them out,

then I will save my sheep, and they shall no longer be plundered, and I will judge between the sheep and the sheep.

And I will appoint one shepherd over them to shepherd them, my servant David; He will shepherd them, and he will be their shepherd.

And I, the Lord, will be their God, and my servant David will be a prince among them. I, the Lord, have said this.

And I will make a covenant of peace with them, and will remove the fierce beasts from the land, that they may dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the forests.
