17 Now forgive my sin once more, and pray to the Lord your God, that he may only turn away this death from me.

18 Moses left Pharaoh and prayed to the Lord.

19 And the LORD raised up a very strong wind from the opposite side, and it carried the locusts and threw them into the Red Sea: there was not a single locust left in all the land of Egypt.

20 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let the children of Israel go.

21 And the Lord said to Moses, 'Stretch out your hand to heaven, and there will be darkness in the land of Egypt, tangible darkness.'

22 And Moses stretched out his hand to heaven, and there was thick darkness over all the land of Egypt three days;

23 And they saw no one another, and no one rose up from his seat three days; and all the children of Israel had light in their gates.

24 Pharaoh called Moses and said, "Go, do the service of the Lord, let only your flocks and herds remain, and let your children go with you."

25 But Moses said, "Give also into our hands sacrifices and burnt offerings, to offer to the Lord our God;

26 Let our flocks also go with us, and not a hoof shall remain; For of these we will offer as a sacrifice to the Lord our God; but until we get there, we do not know what to sacrifice to the Lord.

27 And the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go.

28 And Pharaoh said to him, 'Depart from me; take heed, do not appear before me any more; In the day that thou shalt see my face, thou shalt die.

29 And Moses said, "As thou hast spoken, so shall it be; I will see your face no more.
