21 And I commanded Jesus at that time, saying, 'Your eyes have seen all that the LORD your God has done to these two kings; the Lord will do the same with all the kingdoms that you will pass through;

22 Do not be afraid of them, for the LORD your God himself fights for you.

23 And I prayed to the Lord at that time, saying,

24 O Lord Lord, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy majesty and thy mighty hand; for what god is there in heaven or on earth that can do such works as yours, and with power like yours?

25 let me go over and see that good land that is beyond the Jordan, and that beautiful mountain, and Lebanon.

26 But the Lord was angry with me for your sake, and did not listen to me, and the Lord said to me, It is enough for you, speak no more to me about these things;

27 Go up to the top of Pisgah, and look with your eyes to the sea, and to the north, and to the south, and to the east, and look with your eyes, for you will not pass over this Jordan.

28 And give instruction to Jesus, and strengthen him, and strengthen him; for he shall precede this people, and he shall divide for them the land which thou shalt look at.

29 And we stopped in the valley opposite Beth Peor.

 

1 Therefore, O Israel, listen to the statutes and laws which I teach you to do, that you may live, and go and inherit the land which the LORD God of your fathers is giving you.

2 Do not add to what I command you, nor take away from it; keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

3 Your eyes have seen all that the LORD did to Baal-Peor: every man that followed Baal-Peor the LORD thy God hath destroyed from among thee;

4 but ye that have cleaved unto the Lord your God are alive all to this day.
