3 that the old women should also dress fittingly to the saints, that they should not be slanderers, that they should not be enslaved to drunkenness, that they should teach good;

4 That they may admonish the young to love their husbands, to love their children,

5 to be chaste, pure, caring for the house, kind, submissive to their husbands, let not the word of God be blamed.

6 Thou shalt also exhort the young men to be chaste.

7 In all things show in yourself an example of good works, in teaching purity, sedateness, integrity,

8 A sound word, blameless, so that the adversary may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.

9 Exhort the servants to obey their masters, to please them in all things, not to reproach,

10 Not to steal, but to show all good faithfulness, that they may be in all things an ornament to the doctrine of our Saviour God.

11 For the grace of God has appeared, which saves all men,

12 Teaching us that, having rejected ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live chastely, righteously, and godly in this present age,

13 Looking forward to the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ,

14 Who gave himself for us, that he might deliver us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a special people, zealous for good works.

15 Thus speak, exhort, and rebuke with all authority, that no man may despise thee.

1 Remind them to obey, and to be subject to principalities and powers, to be ready for every good work,

2 To speak evil of no man, to be not quarrelsome, but quiet, and to show all meekness to all men.

3 For we also were once foolish, disobedient, erring, slaves to lusts and divers pleasures, living in malice and envy, being abominable, hating one another.

4 And when the grace and love of mankind of our Saviour God was manifested,
