Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

Who shut the sea with gates, when it was poured out, came out as it were out of the womb,

When I made the clouds his garment, and the darkness his swaddling clothes,

And he confirmed my decree unto him, and set up bars and gates,

And he said, Hitherto thou shalt come, and thou shalt not pass over, and here is the limit of thy haughty waves?

Have you ever given orders to the morning in your life, and have you shown the dawn its place,

that it may encompass the ends of the earth, and shake off the wicked from it,

that the earth may be changed like clay under a seal, and become like a garment of many colors,

And that their light should be taken away from the wicked, and their bold hand broken?

Hast thou descended into the depths of the sea, and hast thou entered into the search of the deep?

Have the gates of death been opened unto thee, and hast thou seen the gates of the shadow of death?

Have you surveyed the breadth of the earth? Explain if you know all this.

Where is the way to the dwelling place of light, and where is the place of darkness?

Thou hast certainly come to her borders, and knowest the paths to her house.

Thou knowest this, because thou wast already born then, and the number of thy days is very great.

Have you entered into the storehouses of snow, and seen the treasures of the hail,

Which shall I keep for the time of trouble, for the day of battle and war?

By what way does the light flow and the east wind spread over the earth?

Who makes channels for the outpouring of water, and a way for thunderbolts,

That rain should fall on a desolate land, on a wilderness where there is no man,

To nourish the wilderness and the wilderness, and to stir up the germs of grass to grow?

Does the rain have a father? Or who gives birth to dewdrops?
