Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

6 God ascended with shouts, the Lord with the sound of the trumpet.

7 Sing to our God, sing; sing to our King, sing,

8 for God is the King of all the earth; Sing all wisely.

9 God reigned over the nations, God sat down on his holy throne;

10 The princes of the nations are gathered together to the people of the God of Abraham, for the shields of the earth are God's; He is exalted above them.

Psalm 47

1 Ode. Psalm. The sons of Korah.

2 Great is the Lord, and all are praised in the city of our God, in his holy mountain.

3 The beautiful high place, the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion; on the north side of it is the city of the great King.

4 God is known in his dwellings as an intercessor:

5 For behold, the kings came together, and all passed by;

6 They saw it, and were amazed, and were troubled, and fled;

7 Fear seized them there, and torment as that of women in childbirth;

8 With the east wind Thou hast broken the ships of Tarshish.

9 As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever.

10 We meditated, O God, on thy goodness in the midst of thy temple.

11 As thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth; Thy right hand is full of righteousness.

12 Let Mount Zion rejoice, and let the daughters of Judah rejoice because of thy judgments, O Lord.

13 Go round about Zion, and go round about it, and number its towers;

14 Turn your heart to his fortifications, and consider his houses, to tell him to the generation to come,

15 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he shall be our ruler unto death.

Psalm 48

1 To the head of the choir. The sons of Korah. Psalm.

2 Hear these things, all ye nations; Give heed to this, all ye that dwell in the world,

3 And the common and the noble, the rich as well as the poor.

4 My mouth shall speak wisdom, and the meditation of my heart shall be knowledge.

5 I will incline my ear to the parable, and with the harp I will reveal my riddle:

6 "Why should I fear in the days of trouble, when the iniquity of my ways shall surround me?"
