Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

13 Turn away, O Lord! As long as? Have compassion on Thy servants.

14 Feed us early with thy mercy, and we shall rejoice and be glad all our days.

15 Rejoice us for the days in which thou hast smitten us, for the years in which we have seen calamity.

16 Let Thy work be manifested upon Thy servants, and Thy glory upon their sons;

17 And let the LORD our God be well pleased with us, and in the work of our hands help us, in the work of our hands help us.

Psalm 90

[Song of Praise of David.]

1 He that dwelleth under the shelter of the Most High, under the shadow of the Almighty, resteth,

2 saith unto the Lord, My refuge and my refuge, my God, in whom I trust.

3 He will deliver you from the snare of the fisherman, from the deadly plague,

4 With His feathers He will overshadow you, and under His wings you will be safe; the shield and the hedge are His truth.

5 Thou shalt not be afraid of terrors in the night, of the arrow that flies by day,

6 A plague that walks in darkness, a pestilence that destroys at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall beside thee, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but he will not come near you:

8 Only shalt thou look with thine eyes, and see the vengeance of the wicked.

9 For thou hast said, 'The Lord is my hope'; Thou hast chosen the Most High for thy refuge;

10 No evil shall befall thee, neither shall the plague come nigh to thy dwelling;

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways;

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone;

13 Thou shalt tread on the adder and the basilisk; you will trample on the lion and the dragon.

14 "Because he has loved me, I will deliver him; I will defend him, because he has known my name.
