Psalm 120
Song of ascent.
1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains, whence my help comes.
2 My help is from the Lord, who created heaven and earth.
3 He will not let thy foot be shaken, nor shall he that keepeth thee slumber;
4 He that keepeth Israel sleepeth not, nor sleepeth.
5 The Lord is thy guardian; The Lord is thy shadow from thy right hand.
6 By day the sun shall not smite thee, nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord will keep you from all evil; [the Lord] will preserve your soul.
8 The Lord will watch over your going out and your going in from now on and forever.
Psalm 121
Song of ascent. David.
1 I rejoiced when they said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the Lord.'
2 Behold, our feet stand in thy gate, O Jerusalem,
3 Jerusalem, built as a city merged into one,
4 whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, according to the law of Israel, to glorify the name of the Lord.
5 There stand the thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
6 Ask for peace to Jerusalem: that those who love you may prosper.
7 May there be peace within thy walls, prosperity in thy palaces!
8 For the sake of my brethren and my neighbors I say, Peace be unto thee.
9 For the house of the Lord our God, I wish you well.
Psalm 122
Song of ascent.
1 Unto thee do I lift up my eyes, O Thou who dwellest in heaven!
2 Behold, as the eyes of servants are turned to the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a servant are to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes are to the Lord our God, until he has mercy on us.
3 Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us, for we are filled enough with contempt;
4 Our soul is sufficiently filled with reproach from the haughty, and humiliation from the proud.
