Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

And take a bundle of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the vessel, and anoint the crossbeam and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the vessel. but you no one go out of the door of your house until morning.

And the LORD shall go to smite Egypt, and shall see the blood on the crossbeam and on the two doorposts, and the LORD shall pass by the doors, and shall not suffer the destroyer to enter into your houses to smite.

Keep these things as a law for yourselves, and for your sons, for ever.

When you enter the land which the Lord will give you, as he said, observe this ministry.

And when your children shall say unto you, What is this service?

Say to them, 'This is the Passover sacrifice to the Lord, who passed by the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when He smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses.' And the people bowed down and bowed.

And the children of Israel went and did as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.

And at midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the prisoner who was in prison, and all the firstlings of the cattle.

And Pharaoh arose in the night himself, and all his servants, and all Egypt; and there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was not a house where there was not a dead man.

And [Pharaoh] called Moses and Aaron by night, and said to [them], 'Arise, come out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel, and go and serve the LORD [your God], as you have said;

And you shall take your flocks and herds, as you have said; and go and bless me.

And the Egyptians compelled the people, that they might quickly drive them out of that land; for they said, We shall all die.

And the people carried their dough before it was leavened; their kneaders tied in their garments were on their shoulders.

And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses, and asked of the Egyptians things of silver, and things of gold, and garments.
