Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

Pharaoh drew near, and the children of Israel looked back, and behold, the Egyptians were coming after them: and the children of Israel were greatly afraid, and cried out to the Lord,

And they said to Moses, 'Are there no sepulchers in Egypt, that thou hast brought us to die in the wilderness?' what has you done to us when you brought us out of Egypt?

Is this not what we said to you in Egypt, saying, 'Leave us, let us work for the Egyptians?' For it is better for us to be a slave to the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.

But Moses said to the people, 'Do not be afraid, but stand still, and you will see the salvation of the Lord which he will wrought for you this day, for the Egyptians whom you see today will never see again;

The Lord will fight for you, and you will be calm.

And the Lord said to Moses, 'Why do you cry out to me?' Tell the children of Israel to go;

And thou shalt lift up thy rod, and stretch out thy hand upon the sea, and divide it, and the children of Israel shall pass through the midst of the sea on dry land.

But I will harden the heart of the Egyptians, and they will go after them; and I will show My glory on Pharaoh and on all his army, on his chariots and on his horsemen;

And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall show my glory on Pharaoh, and on his chariots, and on his horsemen.

And the angel of God went before the camp of Israel, and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved before them, and stood behind them;

And he entered into the midst between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel, and was a cloud and darkness to some, and shone the night to others, and did not draw near to one another all the night.

And Moses stretched out his hand upon the sea, and the LORD drove the sea with a strong east wind all night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters parted.

And the children of Israel went away in the midst of the sea on dry land, and the waters were a wall to them on the right hand and on the left.

And the Egyptians pursued, and all Pharaoh's horses, and his chariots, and his horsemen went after them into the midst of the sea.
