Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments
Do not think that I have come to destroy the law or the prophets: I have not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
For verily I say unto you, Until heaven and earth pass away, not one jot or tittle shall pass away from the law, until all things are fulfilled.
Therefore, whoever breaks one of these least commandments, and teaches men so, the same shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven. but whoever does and teaches will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
For I say to you, unless your righteousness surpasses the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Ye have heard that it was said to them of old time, Thou shalt not kill, but whosoever killeth shall be liable to judgment.
But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without cause shall be liable to judgment; Whoever says to his brother, "Raka" [37] shall be liable to the Sanhedrin[38]; but whoever says, "foolish," is subject to hell fire.
Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath any thing against thee,
Thou shalt leave thy gift there before the altar, and go first to be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
Make peace with thy adversary quickly, while thou art still on the way with him, lest the adversary deliver thee up to the judge, and the judge deliver thee up to the servant, and they cast thee into prison.
Verily I say unto thee, thou shalt not come out of there, until thou hast given up to the last penny.
Ye have heard that it was said unto them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery.
But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh upon a woman to lust after her hath already committed adultery with her in his heart.
But if thy right eye offends thee, pluck it out and cast it from thee: for it is better for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is better for thee that one of thy members should perish, than that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
