Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

If you had known what it means, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice, you would not have condemned the innocent,

For the Son of Man is Lord even of the sabbath.

And having departed from thence, he entered into their synagogue.

E-10 And behold, there was a man with a withered hand. And they asked Jesus, to accuse him, Is it permissible to heal on the Sabbath?

And he said unto them, 'Which of you, having one sheep, if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath day, shall not take it and pull it out?'

How much better is a man than a sheep! Thus, it is possible to do good on Saturdays.

Then saith unto the man, Stretch out thy hand. And he stretched it out, and she was as well as the other.

And the Pharisees went out, and took counsel against him, that they might destroy him. But when Jesus found out, he departed from there.

And a great multitude followed him, and he healed them all

and forbade them to declare him,

That it may be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying,

Behold, my servant whom I have chosen, my beloved, to whom my soul is well pleased. I will put my spirit upon him, and he will proclaim judgment to the nations;

He will not rebuke, nor will he cry out, and no one will hear His voice in the streets.

He shall not break a bruised reed, nor quench the smoking flax, until he shall bring victory to the judgment.

And in his name the nations shall trust.

Then they brought to him a demoniac blind and dumb; and he healed him, so that the blind and dumb man began to speak and see.

And all the people were amazed, and said, 'Is this not the Christ the son of David?'

And when the Pharisees heard these things, they said, 'He does not cast out demons except by the power of Beelzebub, the prince of demons.'

But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said to them, 'Every kingdom divided against itself will be desolate; and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.

And if Satan casteth out Satan, he is divided against himself: how then shall his kingdom stand?

And if I cast out demons by the power of Beelzebub, by whose power do your sons cast out? Therefore they will be your judges.
