Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

45 Also of the children of the settlers who dwell among you, you may buy, and of their descendants that are among you, which are born to them in your land, and they may be your property.

46 You may inherit them also to your sons as if they were your possessions. possess them forever as slaves. But over your brethren, the children of Israel, over one another, you shall not rule with cruelty.

47 And if a stranger or a sojourner of yours shall have wealth, and thy brother shall be poor before him, and shall be sold to a stranger that dwelleth with thee, or to any one of the stranger's tribe,

48 then after the sale you can buy it; and one of his brethren shall redeem him;

49 Either his uncle, or his uncle's son, shall redeem him, or any one of his kinsmen, of his family, shall redeem him. or if he has wealth, he will redeem himself.

50 And he shall settle accounts with him that bought it, from the year in which he sold himself to the year of jubilee, and the money for which he sold himself shall be given to him according to the number of years. as a temporary hireling, he must be with him;

51 And if there be many years left, as they may be, he shall redeem for himself the money with which he was bought.

52 But if there be but a few years left before the year of jubilee, he shall count it, and according to the proportion of years he shall pay a ransom for himself.

53 He shall be with him as a hireling all the years; he must not rule over it with cruelty in your eyes.

54 But if he does not redeem himself in this way, he himself and his children with him will depart in the year of jubilee,

55 for the children of Israel are my servants; they are my servants, whom I brought up out of the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

1 You shall not make for yourselves idols, or images, or pillars, or stones with images, in your ground, to bow down before them: for I am the Lord your God.

2 Keep my sabbaths, and honour my sanctuary: I am the Lord.
