Bible. Books of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments

32 And Sihon [king of Heshbon] with all his people went out against us to fight against Yahah;

33 And the LORD our God delivered him into our hands, and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people,

34 And they took all his cities at that time, and cursed all the cities, men, and women, and children, and left not one alive.

35 Only we have taken for our booty their cattle, and what we have captured in the cities which we have taken.

36 From Aroer, which is on the bank of the brook Arnon, and from the city that is in the valley, to Gilead, there was no city that was impregnable to us: the LORD our God has delivered all things.

37 Only thou hast not approached the land of the Ammonites, nor the places near the brook of Jabbok, nor the cities that are on the mountain, nor all things which the LORD our God has not commanded.

Chapter 3

1 And we turned from thence and went to Bashan, and Og king of Bashan went out against us to make war with all his people at Edreiah.

2 And the Lord said unto me, Fear him not, for I will give him into thy hand, and all his people, and all his land, and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon.

3 And the LORD our God delivered into our hands also Og king of Bashan, and all his people; and we smote him, so that there was no one left alive to him;

4 And at that time we took all the cities thereof; there was not a city that we did not take from them: sixty cities, the whole region of Args, the kingdom of Og of Bashan;

5 And all these cities were fortified with high walls, gates, and bars, except the cities which were not fortified, which were very many;

6 And we put them under a curse, as we did with Sihon king of Heshbon, having put to death every city with men, women, and children;

7 but they took all the cattle and the things taken in the cities for their prey.
