(1 Thessalonians 2:17-18): "But we, brethren, having been separated from you for a short time in our faces, and not in our hearts, all the more eagerly we sought to see your face. And therefore we, I Paul, wanted to come to you once or twice, but Satan prevented us." And a little lower

(1 Thessalonians 3:1-3): "Wherefore, no longer enduring, we desired to remain alone in Athens, and we sent Timothy our brother, and our servant of God, and our co-worker in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen you and comfort you in your faith, that no one should be shaken in these afflictions: for you yourselves know that so it is destined for us."

Chapter 19. It is characteristic of one who loves the Lord to take care of those who are taught with great devotion to those who are being taught, with all diligence, even if, teaching both publicly and privately, he must remain in teaching until death.

(John 10:11): "The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."

(John 21:15-17): "And when they were having dinner, Jesus said to Simon Peter, 'Simon Jonah! Do you love Me more than they do? Peter said to Him, "Yes, Lord! You know I love You. Jesus said to him, "Feed my lambs." Again he said to him another time: Simon Jonah! Do you love Me? Peter said to Him, "Yes, Lord! You know I love You. Jesus said to him, "Feed my sheep." He said to him for the third time: Simon Jonah! Do you love Me? Peter was grieved that he had asked him for the third time, "Do you love me?" And he said to Him, "Lord! You know everything; You know I love You. Jesus said to him, 'Feed my sheep.'"

(Acts 20:7): "On the very first day of the week, when the disciples were gathered together to break bread, Paul, intending to depart the next day, conversed with them and continued his discourse until midnight." And soon afterwards (11): "And when he had gone up and broken bread and eaten, he conversed contentedly, even until dawn, and then he went out."

(20-21): "How have I omitted nothing profitable, of which I have not preached to you, and which I have not taught you publicly and from house to house, proclaiming to Jews and Greeks repentance before God, and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ."

(31): "Therefore watch, remembering that for three years I have been teaching each one of you day and night without ceasing day and night with tears."

(1 Thessalonians 2:9): "For you remember, brethren, our toil and weariness: working night and day, so as not to burden any of you, we preached the gospel of God among you," and so on.

Chapter 20. The Primate of the word must be merciful and compassionate, especially to those who suffer spiritually.

(Matt. 9:11-13): "When the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, Why does your Master eat and drink with publicans and sinners? And when Jesus heard this, he said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick, go and learn what it means, 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.'" For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

(36): "When He saw the multitudes of people, He had compassion on them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd."
