(20-21): "How have I omitted nothing profitable, of which I have not preached to you, and which I have not taught you publicly and from house to house, proclaiming to Jews and Greeks repentance before God, and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ."

(31): "Therefore watch, remembering that for three years I have been teaching each one of you day and night without ceasing day and night with tears."

(1 Thessalonians 2:9): "For you remember, brethren, our toil and weariness: working night and day, so as not to burden any of you, we preached the gospel of God among you," and so on.

Chapter 20. The Primate of the word must be merciful and compassionate, especially to those who suffer spiritually.

(Matt. 9:11-13): "When the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, Why does your Master eat and drink with publicans and sinners? And when Jesus heard this, he said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick, go and learn what it means, 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.'" For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

(36): "When He saw the multitudes of people, He had compassion on them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd."

Chapter 21. One should be compassionate to those entrusted to them in their bodily needs and take care of them.

(Matt. 15:32): "I have pity on the people, because they have been with me for three days, and they have nothing to eat; but I do not want to let them go sick, lest they weaken on the way."

(Mark 1:40-41): "A leper came to Him, and beseeching Him, and falling on his knees before Him, said to Him, 'If you will, you can cleanse me.' Jesus, having compassion on him, stretched out his hand, touched him and said to him, "I will, be cleansed."

(Acts 6:1-3): "In these days, when the disciples multiplied, there arose among the Hellenists a murmur against the Jews, because the widows, who were neglected in the daily distribution of needs. Then the twelve Apostles, having called together a multitude of disciples, said, "It is not good for us, having forsaken the word of God, to take care of tables." Therefore, brethren, choose from among you seven men of renown, filled with the Holy Spirit and wisdom; we will put them in this service."

Chapter 22. The Primate of the word should not be lacking in due diligence about the most important, personally fulfilling with effort what is unimportant.
