The Old Testament (Part 1)

18 And the fish in the river shall die, and the river shall stink, and it shall be an abomination to the Egyptians to drink the water of the river.

19 And the Lord said to Moses, 'Say to Aaron, 'Take your rod [in your hand], and stretch out your hand upon the waters of the Egyptians, upon their rivers, and upon their streams, and upon their lakes, and upon every reservoir of their waters, and they shall be turned into blood, and there shall be blood over all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.

20 And Moses and Aaron did as the Lord had commanded them. And he lifted up his rod, and struck the waters of the river before the eyes of Pharaoh, and before the eyes of his servants, and all the waters of the river were turned to blood;

21 And the fish in the river died out, and the river stinked, and the Egyptians could not drink the water of the river; and there was blood in all the land of Egypt.

22 And the wise men of Egypt did the same by their charms. And Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them, as the Lord had spoken.

23 And Pharaoh turned and went to his house; and his heart was not touched by this.

24 And all the Egyptians began to dig about the river to find water to drink, because they could not drink the water of the river.

25 And it came to pass seven days after the Lord smote the river.

Chapter 8

1 And the LORD said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh and say to him, 'Thus says the Lord, Let my people go, that they may serve me;

2 but if thou wilt not let go, behold, I smite thy whole region with frogs;

3 And the river shall swarm with frogs, and they shall go out, and enter into thy house, and into thy bed, and into the houses of thy servants, and into thy people, and into thy furnaces, and into thy pots,

4 And on thee, and on thy people, and upon all thy servants, frogs shall rise.

5 And the LORD said to Moses, 'Say to Aaron, 'Stretch out your hand with your rod into the rivers, and into the brooks, and into the lakes, and bring forth the frogs into the land of Egypt.'
