The Old Testament (Part 3)

4 for the Lord is well pleased with his people, and glorifies the lowly with salvation.

5 Let the saints rejoice in glory, let them rejoice in their couches.

6 Let praise be to God in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand,

7 to take vengeance on the nations, to punish the nations,

8 To put their kings in chains, and their nobles in fetters of iron,

9 To execute a written judgment on them. This honor is to all His saints. Alleluia.

Psalm 150

[Alleluia.]

1 Praise God in his holiness, praise him in the firmament of his power.

2 Praise him according to his might, praise him according to the multitude of his majesty.

3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet, praise him with the psaltery and the harp.

4 Praise him with the tympanum and the choir, praise him with the strings and the organ.

5 Praise him with loud cymbals, praise him with loud cymbals.

6 Let everything that breathes praise the Lord! Alleluia.

Psalm 151

[David's Psalm on Single Combat with Goliath

1 I was the least among my brethren, and the youngest of my father's house; I have tended my father's sheep.

2 My hands made an organ, my fingers tuned the psalter.

3 And who would declare to my Lord? "The Lord Himself, He Himself, heard me.

4 And he sent his messenger, and took me from my father's sheep, and anointed me with the oil of his anointing.

5 My brethren are beautiful and great, but the Lord did not deign to choose from among them.

6 I went out to meet a stranger, and he cursed me with his idols.

7 But I snatched the sword from him, and beheaded him, and delivered the children of Israel from reproach.]
