NEW TESTAMENT

Chapter 7

After these things Jesus walked in Galilee, for he would not walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him.

The feast of the Jews drew nigh, the setting up of tabernacles.

Then his brethren said to him, 'Come out of here, and go into Judea, that your disciples also may see the works that you are doing.'

For no one does anything in secret, but seeks to be known himself. If You do such things, then manifest Yourself to the world.

For even his brethren did not believe in him.

And Jesus said to them, "My time has not yet come, but it is always time for you."

The world cannot hate you, but it hates me, because I bear witness of him that his works are evil.

Ye shall go to this feast; but I will not yet go to this feast, because My time has not yet come.

And having said these things to them, he remained in Galilee.

But when his brethren came, then he also came to the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.

And the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?

And there was much talk about him among the people: some said that he was good; and others said, "No, but he deceives the people."

Yet no one spoke of him openly, for fear of the Jews.

But it was already the middle of the feast that Jesus went into the temple and taught.

And the Jews were amazed, saying, 'How does he know the Scriptures, not having learned?'

Иисус, отвечая им, сказал: Мое учение – не Мое, но Пославшего Меня;
