3 And it came to pass, as he sat on the mount of Olives, that the disciples came to him alone, and asked, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what is the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world?  4 Jesus answered and said to them, 'Beware lest anyone deceive you,5 for many will come in my name, and will say, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.  6 You will also hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not terrified, for all these things must come to pass, but this is not yet the end: 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in every place;  8 Yet this is the beginning of sorrows.  9 Then they will deliver you up to torment, and kill you; and ye shall be hated by all nations for my name's sake;  10 And then many shall be offended, and shall betray one another, and hate one another;  11 And many false prophets shall arise, and deceive many;  12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold;  13 But he that endureth to the end shall be saved.  14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness to all nations; And then the end will come.  15 Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place, let him who reads understand, 16 then let those who are in Judah flee to the mountains;  17 And he that is on the housetop, let him not go down to take any thing of his house;  18 And he that is in the field, let him not turn back to take his garments.  19 Woe to those who are with child, and to those who suckle in those days!  20 Pray that your flight may not take place in the winter, or on the sabbath, 21 for then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until now, nor will it be.  22 And if those days had not been shortened, no flesh would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened.  23 Then if anyone says to you, 'Behold, here is Christ, or there,' do not believe it.  24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and will give great signs and wonders, to deceive, if possible, even the elect.  25 Behold, I have told you beforehand.  26 Therefore if they say to you, 'Behold, he is in the wilderness,' do not go out; "Behold, He is in the secret chambers," do not believe;  27 For as the lightning proceedeth from the east, and is seen even to the west, so shall the coming of the Son of man be;  28 For where the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered.  29 And suddenly, after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken;  30 Then shall the sign of the Son of Man appear in heaven; and then all the families of the earth shall mourn, and shall see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory;  31 And he shall send his angels with a loud trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.  32 Take a likeness from the fig tree: when its branches are already soft, and put forth leaves, you know that summer is near;  33 So when you see all these things, know that it's near, at the door.  34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away until all these things come to pass;  35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.  36 But of that day and hour no man knoweth, not even the angels of heaven, but only my Father alone;  37 but as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it also be in the coming of the Son of man: 38 for as in the days before the flood they ate and drank and married and were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, 39 and did not think until the flood came and destroyed them all, so shall the coming of the Son of man be;  40 Then shall there be two in the field, one taken, and the other left;  41 Two grinders in millstones: one is taken, and the other is left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know at what hour your Lord is coming.  43 But this ye know, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have been watchful, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.  44 Therefore be ye also ready, for at an hour when you do not think the Son of man will come.  45 Who then is the faithful and discreet servant, whom his master hath set over his servants, to give them food in season?  46 Blessed is the servant whom his master comes, and finds doing so;  47 Verily I say unto you, that he shall set him over all his possessions.  48 But if that servant, being angry, shall say in his heart, 'My lord shall not come soon,49 and begin to beat his fellows, and to eat and drink with drunkards,' 50 then the lord of that servant shall come in a day in which he does not expect, and in an hour in which he does not think, 51 and shall cut him in pieces, and shall subject him to the same fate as the hypocrites; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

25 

     1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be like unto the ten virgins, who took up their lamps, and went out to meet the bridegroom.  2 Of these, five were wise and five were foolish.  3 And the foolish have taken their lamps, and have not taken oil with them.  4 And the wise, together with their lamps, took the oil in their vessels.  5 And when the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered, and fell asleep.  6 But at midnight there was a cry, Behold, the bridegroom is coming, come out to meet him.  7 Then all the virgins arose, and straightened their lamps.  8 And the foolish said to the wise, Give us your oil, for our lamps are going out.  9 And the wise answered, "In order that there may not be a shortage both among us and among you, it is better to go to those who sell and buy for yourselves."  10 And when they had gone to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the doors were shut;  11 after that the rest of the virgins also come, and say, "Lord! God! open to us.  12 And he answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.  13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming. 

     14 For he shall act as a man who went into a foreign land, and called his servants, and entrusted to them his possessions: 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. and immediately departed.  16 And he that hath received five talents went and put them to work, and hath acquired the other five talents;  17 In the same way he who received two talents gained the other two;  18 And he who had received one talent went and buried it in the ground, and hid his master's money.  19 And after a long time, the lord of those servants cometh and demands an account of them.  20 And he that hath received five talents shall come near, and shall bring forth the other five talents, and saith, Lord! Five talents thou hast given me; behold, the other five talents I have gained with them.  21 And his lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant! in a few things you have been faithful, I will set you over many; enter into the joy of your master.  22 And he that had received the two talents also came near, and said, Lord! Two talents thou hast given me; behold, the other two talents I have acquired with them.  23 And his lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant! in a few things you have been faithful, I will set you over many; enter into the joy of your master.  24 And he who had received one talent also came near, and said, 'Lord! I knew thee that thou wast a cruel man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not scattered, 25 and being afraid, thou hast gone and hid thy talent in the ground; Here's yours for you.  26 And his lord answered and said unto him, 'Wicked servant and slothful! Thou knowest that I reap where I have not sown, and I gather where I have not scattered;  27 Therefore it behooved thee to give my money to the merchants, and when I came, I should have received mine with profit.  28 Therefore take a talent from him, and give it to him that hath ten talents, 29 for to every one that hath it shall be given, and it shall be multiplied, but from him that hath not, even that which hath shall be taken away.  30 but cast the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. And when he had said this, he cried out, Whosoever hath ears to hear, let him hear. 

     31 And when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory, 32 and all the nations will be gathered before him. and separate one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats;  33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, and the goats on his left.  34 Then the King shall say to those who are on his right hand, 'Come, you who are blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and you received me;  36 I was naked, and you clothed me; was sick, and you visited me; I was in prison, and you came to me.  37 Then the righteous will answer and say to him, 'Lord! when did we see Thee hungry, and fed Thee? or thirsty, and gave them to drink?  38 when did we see thee a stranger, and received thee? Or naked, and clothed?  39 when did we see thee sick, or in prison, and came to thee?  40 And the king shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.  41 Then he will say also to those on the left, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry, and you did not give me to eat; I was thirsty, and you did not give me to drink;  43 I was a stranger, and they did not receive me; I was naked, and they did not clothe me; I am sick and in prison, and have not visited me.  44 Then they also will answer and say to him, 'Lord! when did we see Thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not serve Thee?  45 Then he will answer and say to them, "Truly I say to you, because you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me."  46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into everlasting life. 

26 

     1 And when Jesus had finished all these words, he said to his disciples, 2 Ye know that in two days the Passover will be, and the Son of Man shall be delivered up to be crucified. 

     3 Then the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, gathered together in the courtyard of the high priest named Caiaphas, 4 and took counsel to take Jesus by cunning and kill him.  5 But they said, Only not on the feast, lest there be a tumult among the people. 

     6 And it came to pass, while Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, 7 that a woman came to him with an alabaster vessel of precious ointment, and poured it on his head.  8 And when his disciples saw this, they were indignant, and said, "Why is this waste?"  9 For it would be possible to sell this ointment for a great price, and give it to the poor.  10 But Jesus, having understood this, said to them, 'Why do you trouble the woman? she has done a good deed for me: 11 for you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me.  12 And having poured this myrrh upon my body, she prepared me for burial;  13 Verily I say unto you, Wherever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, it shall be spoken in remembrance of her, and of what she has done.  14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests, 15 and said, 'What will you give me, and I will deliver him up to you?' They offered him thirty pieces of silver;  16 And from that time on, he sought an opportunity to betray Him.

     17 And on the first day of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, and said unto him, Where dost thou command us to prepare the passover for thee?  18 And he said, 'Go into the city to so-and-so, and say to him, 'The Master says, 'My time is at hand; with you I will celebrate the Passover with My disciples.  19 And the disciples did as Jesus had commanded them, and prepared the Passover. 

     20 And when evening was come, he sat down with the twelve disciples;  21 and as they were eating, he said, 'Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.'  22 And they were very grieved, and they began to say to him, every one of them, 'Is it not I, Lord?'  23 And he answered and said, 'He who has put his hand into the dish with me, this one will betray me;  24 Yet the Son of Man is coming, as it is written of Him, but woe to the man to whom the Son of Man is betrayed: it would have been better for this man not to have been born.  25 And Judas, too, who betrayed him, said, 'Am I not I, Rabbi?' Jesus said to him, "You have spoken." 

     26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and having blessed, he broke it, and having distributed it to the disciples, he said, 'Take, eat: this is my body.'  27 And having taken the cup, and having given thanks, he gave it to them, and said, 'Drink of it, all of you,28 for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins.'  29 But I say unto you, that henceforth I will not drink of this fruit of the vine until the day that I drink new wine with you in the kingdom of my Father. 

     30 And having sung, they went up to the Mount of Olives.  31 Then Jesus said to them, 'You will all be offended in me this night, for it is written, 'I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered;  32 And after my resurrection I will go before you in Galilee.  33 Peter answered and said to him, "If all men also be offended because of you, I will never be offended."  34 Jesus said to him, "Truly I say to you, that this night, before the crows, you will deny me three times."  35 Peter said to him, 'Though I ought to die with you, I will not deny you.' All the disciples said the same. 

     36 Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, "Sit here while I go and pray there."  37 And having taken Peter and the two sons of Zebedee with him, he began to grieve and grieve.  38 Then Jesus said to them, 'My soul is sorrowful unto death; stay here and watch with me.  39 And having gone a little farther, he fell on his face, and prayed, saying, My Father! if possible, let this cup pass from Me; however, not as I will, but as Thou wilt.  40 And he came to the disciples, and found them asleep, and said unto Peter, Could ye not watch with me for one hour?  41 Watch and pray, that ye may not fall into temptation: the spirit is strong, but the flesh is weak.  42 Again, having departed another time, he prayed, saying, 'My Father! if this cup cannot pass from Me, that I may not drink it, Thy will be done.  43 And when he came, he found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy.  44 And leaving them, he went away again, and prayed a third time, saying the same word.  45 Then he came to his disciples, and said to them, 'Are you still asleep and resting?' behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners;  46 Arise, let us go: behold, he who betrays me is at hand.
