[267] fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; As he has done the injury on the body of man, so must he do it.

[268] And he killed him, and he died. And David said to him, Thy blood is on thy head: for thy mouth bore witness against thee, when thou said, I have slain the anointed of the Lord.

[269] And I will make a covenant of peace with them, and I will remove the fierce beasts from the earth, so that they may dwell safely in the desert and sleep in the forests.

[270] And I will make a covenant of peace with them, an everlasting covenant with them. And I will build them, and multiply them, and set my sanctuary among them for ever.

[271] And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them to do good to them, and I will put my fear in their hearts, that they may not depart from me.

[272] The Lord roared in the heavens, and the Most High gave His voice, hail and coals of fire.
