[1295] After this the children of Israel will turn and seek the Lord their God and David their king, and they will fear the Lord and his goodness in the last days.

[1296] And it shall come to pass in the last days: the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be set at the head of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills, and the nations shall flow to it.

[1297] God, who spoke many times and in many ways to the fathers in the prophets, in these last days has spoken to us in the Son, whom He has made heir of all things, through Whom He also created the worlds.

[1298] But he must recognize the son as the firstborn unloved, [and] give him a double part of all that he has, for he is the firstfruits of his power, to him belongs the right of birthright.

[1299] He smote every firstborn in Egypt, the firstfruits of strength in the tents of Ham;

[1300] And he smote every firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their strength.

[1301] And when the soul went out of her, for she was dying, she called his name Benoni. But his father called him Benjamin.

[1302] The sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel, he is the firstborn; but when he defiled his father's bed, his primacy was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel, so that he should not be written by him as the firstborn; for Judah was the strongest of his brethren, and the leader was from him, but the primacy was transferred to Joseph.

[1303] And they gave him seventy shekels of silver from the house of Baalverif; Abimelech hired idle and self-willed people for them, who followed him.

[1304] Behold, I am against the prophets of false dreams, saith the Lord, who tell them, and deceive my people by their deceit, and deceive them, whereas I have not sent them, nor commanded them, and they are of no use to this people, saith the Lord.

[1305] There are enemies of the light among them, they do not know its ways, and do not walk in its paths. At dawn, the murderer rises, kills the poor and needy, and at night he becomes a thief. In the dark, they dig under the houses that they have noticed for themselves during the day; They do not know the light. For to them the morning is a shadow of death, for they are familiar with the horrors of the shadow of death. Such a man is light on the surface of the water, cursed is a part of him on the earth, and he does not look at the path of the vineyards.

[1306] During Israel's stay in that country, Reuben went and slept with Bilhah, the concubine of his father [Jacob]. And Israel heard [and received it with grief]. And Jacob had twelve sons.

[1307] And they pitched a tent for Absalom on the roof, and Absalom went in to his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel.

[1308] Let Reuben live, and let him not die, and let him not be few!
