This is called insight into space.

And before the Passover He sent Peter and John to prepare the Passover for Him. And when they asked where he wished that they should be prepared for him, he answered, Behold, at your entrance into the city, a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house into which he enters, and say to the master of the house, 'The Master says to you, 'Where is the room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?' And he will show you a large upper room, which is furnished; Cook there. They went, and found it, as He had told them (Luke 22:10-13).

And this is a brilliant example of insight into space.

To the Jews, who did not recognize Him as the Messiah and were constantly waiting for some other Messiah – their own and for themselves, and not for the world, not for the whole world – the all-seeing Lord prophesied the following: "I have come in the name of My Father, and you do not receive Me; but if any man come in his name, ye shall receive him (John 5:43). And this temporal prophecy is being fully fulfilled to this day. The Jews had hitherto proclaimed many people as their messiahs, and soon rejected them, frustrated by their impotence. The last person who came not in the name of God, but in his own name, and in whom the Jews placed all their hope, was Marx. The prophecy of Christ undoubtedly applies to him and to him more than to Barabbas, Bar Kokhba, or any other false messiah down to the present day. After all, the world, international Jewry pinned all its hopes and built all its plans on him, Karl Marx, the atheist, the descendant of the forefather Zebulun.

The destruction of Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum was foreseen and prophesied by Jesus quite clearly: "Woe to you, Chorazin! woe to you, Bethsaida! for if the powers manifested in you had been manifested in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. And thou, Capernaum, who hast ascended unto heaven, shalt thou descend unto hell (Matt. 11:21, 23). This prophecy was fulfilled with terrifying accuracy. Where these three cultured cities stood, of which Capernaum shone like a star on the edge of the sea, there remained a desolate place through which one could not pass without the risk of being pricked by thorns or bitten by a serpent.

Prophecy of the Temple of Jerusalem. When they showed Him the temple, they said with admiration: "Teacher! Look at the stones and the buildings! Jesus said to them, "Verily I say unto you, Not one stone shall be left here upon another; everything will be destroyed. It came true literally. All pilgrims in Jerusalem can see the heavy slabs left over from the former temple, called the Western Wall. They lie one on top of the other and now serve as a fence for the Arab mosque. Every Saturday, Jews gather at this Wall, bang their heads against the stones and cry. And when the clairvoyant Lord foresaw this and prophesied it, who could then believe in it?

Jesus foresaw the fate of the city of Jerusalem and therefore wept. The horrors that were to befall this holy city He saw in advance so clearly that He could not restrain Himself from weeping. An ordinary person, if he saw this, would go mad. And when he drew near to the city, he looked at it, and wept over it, and said, Oh, that thou also wouldst know in this thy day that it is for thy peace. But these things are now hidden from thy eyes, for the days shall come upon thee, when thy enemies shall entrench thee, and surround thee, and press thee on every side, and destroy thee, and slay thy children within thee, and shall not leave in thee one stone upon another, because thou hast not known the time of thy visitation (Luke 19:41-44), that is, because of the rejection and rejection of the Messiah.

And this terrible prophecy came true, and not once, but many times. First it was ravaged by King Titus, and then by King Hadrian, Caliph Omar, the Seljuk Turks and other conquerors. Jesus speaks of the trenches and the siege of the city from all sides. Why this detail? One must read Josephus to understand the importance of this detail in prophecy. When the Romans besieged the city, the Jews suffered unprecedented misfortunes. Mothers cooked and ate their children! The clairvoyant saw all this clearly, so he began to cry.

The prophecy about the Jews is simply amazing in its accuracy. This prophecy says: Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. When these words were uttered, the Jews were living in their homeland, Palestine, and the whole of Palestine was inhabited and even overpopulated by Jews from one end to the other. Today, the entire Jewish people live in foreign countries and foreign homelands. Their house remained empty, and not from yesterday, but many centuries ago. Why did this happen? Because they wanted to have a false Messiah, and they crucified the true Messiah on the Cross and thus took the innocent Blood on themselves and on their children. And innocent blood is stronger than any power in the world. This mystical, terrible reality the Jews have never been able to understand. For thousands of years they shed human blood in wars and the blood of lambs on the altar, and yet they did not think about the mystery of innocent blood. And this innocent Blood, moreover, the most innocent Blood of the Son of God, constantly persecutes them and does not give them peace anywhere, just as the blood of the righteous Abel nowhere gave rest to the bloody fratricide Cain.

Таковы пророчества, уже осуществившиеся. Нельзя сказать, что мы перечислили все их. Евангелие - такая сокровищница мудрости, чудес и пророчеств, что никогда нельзя быть уверенным, что хоть что-нибудь из нее исчерпано до конца.

Но из всех пророчеств Иисусовых всего рода человеческого касаются пророчества о последних временах и втором Его Пришествии. Это Апокалипсис Христов, написанный не в образах, как Апокалипсис Иоаннов, а в ясном и логичном изложении событий. Мы не собираемся приводить здесь все сказанное Господом о последних временах и о Его втором Пришествии. Ведь тогда мы должны были бы переписать целые главы из Евангелия (см.: Мф. 24; 25, 31; Лк. 13; 21). Пусть каждый христианин читает эти два обширные пророчества, и как можно чаще. Они очень полезны, ибо просвещают разум и укрепляют надежду.

Скажем только, что Иисус видел историю человечества как время, исполненное зла, лжи, ненависти, войн и мятежей, отпадений от Бога, мучений христиан и завершенное напоследок смятением всей вселенной: помрачением солнца и луны и спадением звезд с неба. Этим опровергается вульгарная философская теория о непрерывном прогрессе в истории мира, о все возрастающем совершенствовании людей и об установлении рая на земле в далеком будущем. Это теория и догадка, а то было Христово вИдение действительности такой, какой она будет. Человекоубийца от начала нашептывает книжникам и философам, что человечество все больше и больше усовершается и все больше и больше приближается к «земному раю». Лишь бы отвратить людей от Бога Творца и Промыслителя и затемнить их вИдение рая, вечности и Царства Небесного. Между тем, по истинному вИдению Христову, история развивается путем трагичным, а завершится катаклизмом, то есть кажущейся победой сатаны, за которой вскоре откроются сияние и великолепие славы Христовой. Как было и с Самим Христом: страдание, одиночество, предательство, Голгофа, воскресение. Христова жизнь на земле - прообраз христианской истории, то есть Церкви Его, до конца времен. И Церковь Его будет напоследок поругана, оплевана, изранена и предана, как Он. Она будет страдать и будет одинока посреди пучины всемирного зла. Предатели и иуды будут предавать ее и продавать безбожникам. А когда окажется она в наибольших муках, на своем кресте, тогда солнце и луна померкнут, как при смерти Христа.

Но когда сатана возомнит, будто победил, и когда злобный и христоборный мир будет злорадно ликовать, подобно евреям под Крестом Христовым, тогда внезапно осуществится это второе пророчество: силы небесные поколеблются; тогда явится знамение Сына Человеческого на небе; и тогда восплачутся (грешники от страха, а праведники от радости) все племена земные и увидят Сына Человеческого, грядущего на облаках небесных с силою и славою великою.

Все происшедшее на малой сцене Иерусалима повторится в последние времена на сцене всего мира. Драма правды всегда имеет два завершения: первое - которому сатана радуется, а второе - которому Бог радуется. Смерть на Голгофе была первым завершением, которому радовался сатана с евреями, а воскресение Христово стало вторым завершением той же самой драмы жизни. И мировая история - точнее говоря, история Церкви Христовой, ибо эта история есть и останется единственной историей на свете, имеющей план и смысл,- также имеет два окончания: один будет мраком, а другой светом. Но свет станет главным и последним концом.
