 — хлеба и жаждущие — воды просят у Бога, чтобы Он очистил их от грехов и помог им жить праведно (желают оправдаться перед Богом). Желание таких людей исполнится, они насытятся, то есть будут оправданы. 5. Блажени милостивии, яко тии помиловани будут. (5. Блаженны милостивые, потому что они помилованы будут.)

Милостивые — люди, имеющие доброе сердце — милосердные, сострадательные ко всем, готовые всегда помочь нуждающимся, чем только могут. Такие люди сами будут помилованы Богом, им будет явлена особая милость Божия. 6. Блажени чистии сердцем, яко тии Бога узрят. (6. Блаженны чистые сердцем, потому что они Бога увидят.)

Чистые сердцем — люди, которые не только берегутся от дурных дел, но и душу свою стараются сделать чистою, т. е. хранят ее от дурных мыслей и желаний. Они и здесь близки к Богу (душою всегда чувствуют Его), а в будущей жизни, в Царстве небесном, будут вечно находиться с Богом, видеть Его. 7. Блажени миротворцы, яко тии сынове Божии нарекутся. (7.

 Блаженны миротворцы, потому что они будут наречены (названы) сынами Божиими.) Миротворцы — люди, которые не любят никаких ссор. Сами стараются жить со всеми мирно и дружелюбно и других мирить друг с другом. Они уподобляются Сыну Божию, Который пришел на землю, чтобы примирить согрешившего человека с правосудием Божиим. Такие люди будут названы сыновьями, т. е.

детьми Божиими, и будут особенно близки к Богу. 8. Блажени изгнани правды ради, яко тех есть царствие небесное. (8. Блаженны изгнанные за правду, потому что их есть царство небесное.) Изгнанные за правду — люди, которые так любят жить по правде, т. е. по Божиему закону, по справедливости, что терпят и переносят за эту правду всякие гонения, лишения и бедствия, но ни чем не изменяют ей.  Блажени есте, егда поносят вам, и ижденут, и рекут всяк зол глагол на вы лжуще, Мене ради. Радуйтеся и веселитеся, яко мзда ваша многа на небесех. (9. Блаженны вы, когда будут поносить вас и гнать и всячески неправедно злословить за Меня. Радуйтесь и веселитесь тогда, потому что велика ваша награда на небесах.) mock you, reproach you, dishonor you), use and falsely say evil things about you (slander, unjustly accuse), and all this you will endure for your faith in Me, then do not grieve, but rejoice and be glad, because a great, greatest, reward awaits you in heaven, that is, a particularly high degree of eternal bliss. Jesus Christ taught that God provides, that is, cares, for all creatures, but especially cares for people.

The Lord cares for us more and better than the kindest and most reasonable father cares for his children. He gives us His help in everything that is necessary in our life and that serves for our true benefit. "Do not be anxious about what you will eat or drink, or what you will wear," said the Savior.
