* An organization that answers all questions and has authority to act on behalf of Jehovah God,

* Ears that are ready to receive with delight everything that the new preachers put into them.

So, these ears are yours! If you listen respectfully to everything the Witnesses tell you, then on the one hand you help these people to quickly forget about their hated "sweatpants with saggy knees", and on the other hand, you also risk "cheaply and angrily" escaping from your real problems into the almost fairytale world of a virtual mission.

If you don't like that, ask the preachers who show up on your doorstep for their theological training, which qualifies them to discuss the Bible with you.1 However, there may be exceptions here. Maybe a Jehovah's Witness will raise the dead, or walk on water, or do some of the things that are written in Mark. 16:17-18. Then a diploma is not needed. If there is neither a diploma nor miracles, then feel free to escort your newly-minted enlighteners out the door!!

Think about the fact that when someone advertises their goods in apartments, then for any normal buyer this is an alarming signal. This means that in an open competitive environment, this product is illiquid! Indeed, what Jehovah's Witnesses fear most is open discussion and public and honest criticism, because all of their teaching is sewn together with the white threads of double standards and prideful prejudices that do not tolerate transparency and discussion. This is easy to check. Invite Jehovah's Witnesses to come to adult Sunday school or catechism classes and speak openly to those who are able to ask difficult questions. Jehovah's Witnesses will refuse. They will say that if they come to such an event, there will be an argument, and a Christian cannot argue! Imagine the Apostle Paul, who says, "I will not go to the Areopagus, because there are critical people," or the Apostle Peter, who refuses to go to the synagogue because there may be an argument, but a Christian cannot argue. It is clear that the most heated debates arose in the synagogues, but it was in them that the preachers of Christianity were clothed with power, catching the new disciples of Christ with the word of faith. And the passage beloved by Jehovah's Witnesses: "Those who were here were more well-meaning than those of Thessalonica: they received the word with all diligence, daily examining the Scriptures to see if it was really so (Acts 17:11)" tells about the preaching of Paul and Silas in Beria in a Jewish synagogue (Acts 17:10), and not as a guest of Baba Dusia from the third entrance.

Когда они чувствуют угрозу для имиджа своей организации, они идут на заведомую ложь2, подтасовку фактов, игру понятий. Они очень любят критиковать духовенство других конфессий, а когда им указывают на неприглядные стороны жизни иеговистских старейшин, они обижаются, принимают на себя «роль мучеников» и страдальцев за правду. Более подробно я буду говорить об этом ниже. Сейчас я предлагаю вам задуматься вот о чём: а как можно победить того, кто играет без правил? Я думаю, что вы согласитесь со мной, если я скажу, что есть два способа победить такого человека в шахматы. Либо вы тоже играете без правил, либо вы заставляете человека играть по общим и понятным для всех правилам. Соревнование в беспринципности – это худшее из того, что может делать верующий человек. А вот выработка общих для всех правил дискуссии, пожалуй, вполне может привести вас к тому, что ваши аргументы окажутся весьма убедительными. Поэтому прежде чем вы вступите в беседу со Свидетелями, вам нужно будет сформулировать общие правила, а потом их строго придерживаться.
