Притча о закваске

Развивая ту же мысль о будущности основываемого Им Царства Божия на земле, Иисус Христос сказал притчу о закваске.

Еще сказал: чему уподоблю Царствие Божие? Оно подобно закваске, которую женщина, взяв, положила в три меры муки, доколе не вскисло все. Известно, что ничтожное количество закваски (дрожжей), положенное в громадное (сравнительно с закваской) по объему тесто, сообщает всему тесту свои свойства и возбуждает в нем брожение. Так и

малое стадо Христово (Ин. 6, 32; Лк. 12, 32), войдя в мир, создаст обширное Царство Божие на земле, долженствующее объединить все человечество.

«Не говори Мне: что можем сделать мы, двенадцать человек, вступив в среду такого множества людей? В том самом и обнаружится яснее ваша сила, что вы, вмешанные во множество, не предадитесь бегству. Как закваска тогда только заквашивает тесто, когда бывает в соприкосновении с мукой, и не только прикасается, но даже смешивается с ней, так и вы, когда вступите в неразрывную связь и единение с врагами своими, тогда их и преодолеете» (Свт. Иоанн Златоуст. Толкование на Евангелие от Матфея. 45).

По свидетельству Евангелиста Марка, Иисус Христос

таковыми многими притчами проповедывал им (то есть народу)

The Evangelist Matthew, who paid special attention to the fulfillment of all the prophecies about the Messiah by Jesus in writing his Gospel, says that by teaching in parables, Jesus fulfilled what God said through the prophet David. The seventy-seventh Psalm begins as follows:

Hearken, O my people, to my law, incline your ear to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable (Psalm 77:1).

When Jesus had finished the parables, the disciples came to Him and asked:

Why do you speak to them in parables?

Therefore I speak to them in parables, – Christ answers, –

that when they see they do not see, and when they hear they do not hear, and they do not understand. They are neither blind nor deaf, but, corrupted by their false teachers (the scribes and Pharisees), they have almost lost the ability to understand the signs they saw and the teaching they heard.

And the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled over them, which says: "With your ears you will hear, and you will not understand, and with your eyes you will see, and you will not see: for the heart of these people is hardened, and with their ears they can hardly hear, and their eyes are closed, lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and yes
