Interpretation of the Gospel of John

He who is of God hears the words of God; you do not listen because you are not of God.

529

To this the Jews answered and said to Him, "Is it not true that we say that You are a Samaritan, and that a demon is in You?

530

Jesus answered, "There is no demon in me...

531

but you dishonor me.

532

However, I do not seek My glory:

533

there is the Seeker and the Judge.

534

Verily, verily, I say unto you, whosoever keepeth my word shall never see death.

535

And the Jews said unto him, Now we know that the devil is in thee.

536

but you say, "Whoever keeps my word will never taste death," are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? and the prophets are dead: with what do you make yourself?

537

Jesus answered, "If I glorify myself, then my glory is nothing."

538

My Father glorifies me;

539

of whom you say that he is your God. And you have come to know Him,

540

They say they know God, but they deny it by their deeds.

541

but I know Him;

542

and if I say that I do not know Him, I will be a liar like you.

543

But I know Him and keep His word.

544

And the Jews said to him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
