My Father glorifies me;

of whom you say that he is your God. And you have come to know Him,

They say they know God, but they deny it by their deeds.

but I know Him;

and if I say that I do not know Him, I will be a liar like you.

But I know Him and keep His word.

And the Jews said to him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?

Jesus said to them, "Verily, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am."

Then they took stones to throw at Him...

And he went on.

And as he passed, he saw a man blind from birth.

His disciples asked Him, "Rabbi! Who sinned, he or his parents, that he was born blind?

Jesus answered, "Neither he nor his parents have sinned."

punishing children for the guilt of their fathers to the third and fourth generation...

Why do you use this proverb in the land of Israel, saying, "The fathers ate sour grapes, but the children's teeth are set on edge"? I live! says the Lord God, "they will not speak this proverb in Israel.

but this is in order that the works of God may be manifested in it.
