Interpretation of the Gospel of John
764
… how many times would I have gathered together thy children... They didn't want to.
765
«… let them not see with their eyes, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, that I may heal them."
766
This is what Isaiah said, when he saw His glory and spoke of Him.
767
However, many of the rulers also believed in Him; but for the sake of the Pharisees they did not confess, so as not to be excommunicated from the synagogue, for they loved the glory of men more than the glory of God.
768
And Jesus said, He who believes in Me does not believe in Me, but in Him who sent Me.
769
And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me.
770
I, the light, have come into the world,
771
so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness.
772
And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I will not judge him;
773
for I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world.
774
He who rejects Me and does not receive My words has a judge for himself:
775
the word that I have spoken, it will judge him at the last day.
776
For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father who sent Me, He gave Me a commandment what to say and what to say.
777
And I know that His commandment is eternal life.
