For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father who sent Me, He gave Me a commandment what to say and what to say.

And I know that His commandment is eternal life.

So what I say, I say, as the Father told Me.

Before the feast of the Passover, Jesus, knowing that His hour had come to pass from this world to the Father,

He showed by His deed that having loved His own who are in the world, He loved them to the end.

And during the supper,

when the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot of Simon to betray him,

Jesus, knowing that the Father had put all things into His hands,

and that he came forth from God, and departs to God;

He got up from the supper, took off His outer garment

and taking a towel, he girded himself.

And he began to wash the feet of the disciples, and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded. He approached Simon Peter...

Иисус сказал ему в ответ: что Я делаю, теперь ты не знаешь,

а уразумеешь после.

Иисус отвечал ему: если не умою тебя, не имеешь части со Мною. Симон Петр говорит Ему: Господи! не только ноги мои, но и руки и голову.

Иисус говорит ему: омытому нужно только ноги умыть, потому что чист весь; и вы чисты, но не все.
